Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Cookies and similar technologies are used across Talendoo.
1. What Are Cookies
1.1 Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, work more efficiently, and to provide information to the operators of a site. This Cookie Policy also covers similar technologies such as web beacons, pixels, local storage, and SDKs used within our mobile applications (together, “Cookies”).
1.2 This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains more broadly how we handle Personal Information. Cookie consent is managed entirely through the cookie banner and preference center described in clause 4 below; it is kept separate from, and is not bundled with, the contractual-acceptance and other consent controls presented at Account registration, which are described in clause 1.4 of the Platform General Terms & Conditions.
2. How We Use Cookies
2.1 We use Cookies for the following purposes:
Strictly Necessary Cookies - required for the Platform to function, such as maintaining your logged-in session, remembering items in an application in progress, load-balance, and security features (including CAPTCHA/bot-detection cookies). These cannot be switched off, as the Platform cannot function properly without them; they do not require consent under applicable e-privacy laws because they are essential to providing the service you requested.
Functional/Preference Cookies - remember your preferences and settings, such as language, saved searches, or display preferences, to provide a more personalized experience.
Analytics/Performance Cookies - help us understand how users interact with the Platform (pages visited, time spent, error messages) so that we can measure and improve performance. Where required by law, these are only set with your consent.
Marketing/Advertising Cookies - used to deliver relevant advertising about our Services on other websites, measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, and limit the number of times you see an advert. Where required by law, these are only set with your consent.
Embedded Content and Third-Party Widget Cookies - set by embedded video players, chat/support widgets, or similar third-party widgets displayed on the Platform. Where these are non-essential, they are only loaded after you consent.
3. Cookie Inventory
3.1 The table below is the Company’s cookie register and must be completed, kept current, and technically verified (for example, using a cookie-scanning tool) before publication. Rows are illustrative placeholders only.
| Cookie name | Provider | Domain | Purpose | Category | Duration | First or third party | Consent required? |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| accessToken | True Cloud ERP (Pty) Ltd | app.talendoo.io | Keeps you signed in and authorises your requests to the Platform | Strictly necessary | 15 minutes, renewed automatically while you remain active | First party | No |
| refresh_token | True Cloud ERP (Pty) Ltd | api.talendoo.io | Renews your session so you are not asked to sign in again. HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=None | Strictly necessary | 7 days | First party | No |
| oauth_state | True Cloud ERP (Pty) Ltd | api.talendoo.io | Protects your Google or Microsoft sign-in against cross-site request forgery; deleted as soon as sign-in completes | Strictly necessary | Session | First party | No |
| talendoo_lang | True Cloud ERP (Pty) Ltd | app.talendoo.io | Remembers your chosen interface language | Functional | Session | First party | Yes |
| talendoo_lang (local storage) | True Cloud ERP (Pty) Ltd | app.talendoo.io | Stores your language choice so pages render in the correct language and text direction on your next visit | Functional | Until you clear your browser storage | First party | Yes |
| create-job-draft (local storage) | True Cloud ERP (Pty) Ltd | app.talendoo.io | Preserves an unfinished job posting so it is not lost if you close or refresh the page | Functional | Until you clear your browser storage | First party | Yes |
| complete-profile-candidate (local storage) | True Cloud ERP (Pty) Ltd | app.talendoo.io | Preserves an unfinished profile-completion form | Functional | Until you clear your browser storage | First party | Yes |
3.2 A current, itemized version of this table is also available via the cookie-preference tool accessible from the Platform’s footer or cookie banner.
4. Your Consent Choices
4.1 Non-essential Cookies are not set until you consent. On your first visit to the Platform, non-essential Cookies (functional, analytics, marketing, and embedded-content Cookies) are blocked from loading until you make a choice through the cookie banner; only Strictly Necessary Cookies are set beforehand. This applies globally, and wherever consent is legally required (including the European Union and United Kingdom under the ePrivacy Directive/Regulations and equivalent laws, and South Africa under POPIA to the extent Cookies process Personal Information).
4.2 The cookie banner allows you to accept all Cookies, reject all non-essential Cookies, or customize your preferences by category, each with equal prominence — rejecting non-essential Cookies is exactly as easy (the same number of clicks) as accepting them, and no category is pre-ticked other than Strictly Necessary Cookies.
4.3 You may change your Cookie preferences at any time via the cookie-preference link in the Platform footer, or by adjusting your browser settings to block or delete Cookies. A change to reject a previously accepted category takes effect immediately and stops the corresponding script or tag from loading on your next page view; it does not retroactively delete data already collected, which is instead handled under the retention provisions of the Privacy Policy. Please note that blocking Strictly Necessary Cookies, or all Cookies, may affect the functionality of the Platform, including your ability to log in or complete an application.
4.4 Most browsers allow you to view, manage, delete, and block Cookies for a website. Instructions vary by browser; further information is typically available in your browser’s help documentation.
4.5 We honor your recorded consent choices for the period specified in the cookie banner (typically up to 12 months), after which we will ask you to reconfirm your preferences. We log the date and a unique consent identifier for each choice you make and retain that consent log for as long as necessary to demonstrate compliance, typically for the duration your preference remains in effect plus a limited period thereafter.
4.6 Where the Platform operates across multiple subdomains, your cookie preference is applied consistently across those subdomains where technically supported; where it is not (for example, a third party-hosted subdomain), you may be asked to set your preference again on that subdomain.
5. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
5.1 Where you browse from a jurisdiction that gives legal effect to a recognized opt-out signal (such as the Global Privacy Control) for the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising, we will honor that signal as an opt-out of non-essential Cookies to the extent required by the applicable law of that jurisdiction.
5.2 Some browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” signal. As there is no common industry standard for responding to such signals outside a legally recognized mechanism such as Global Privacy Control, we do not otherwise alter our Cookie practices in response to a generic Do Not Track signal, but you can use the cookie-preference tool described above to control your Cookie settings directly.
6. Technical Verification
6.1 The commitments in this Cookie Policy (no non-essential Cookie before consent; equally easy accept/reject; immediate effect of withdrawal) describes how the Platform is required to behave. They must be verified technically against the live Odoo implementation – including analytics tags, advertising pixels, embedded media, and chat widgets – to confirm that no such script fires before a positive consent signal is received, and this verification should be repeated whenever a new script or tag is added to the Platform.
7. Changes to this Cookie Policy
7.1 We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Cookies we use or for legal or regulatory reasons, in accordance with clause eighteen of the Platform General Terms & Conditions.
